In spring 2014, I created this body of work as a final for one of my classes. Entitled divi | sion, this is a sampling of images from my final portfolio edit. I chose to represent the tension from an arguing family in a monochromatic, simple collection of photographs showing division between two sides. Under the guidance of my professor and mentor Chehalis Hegner, I feel I was able to put a start to expressing myself via conceptual photographs, and I am excited to keep working with this idea more in the future.
